Celtic had 11% possession and Xavi

Celtic had 11% possession and Xavi made as many passes as their entire team tonight...
According to Sky Sports, Barcelona had a massive 89% of the ball possession against Celtic in their 2-1 loss at Celtic Park.

A lot of respectable websites offer differing stats about how many passes Celtic made, but the majority seem to say 166 was the total. Barcelona's Xavi made 166 passes by himself.

It just goes to show (the obvious point) that nothing matters in football except goals.

All I can say is well played Celtic. They were excellent from start to finish, and not just at the back. Going forward they were direct and clinical, which is crucial when you, err, only have 11% of the ball...

Wanyama was tireless in the middle of the pitch and Forster made countless top class saves, adding fuel to the "he should be in the England squad" debate.
